The main-stream media prefers to talk about the dangers of guns, which is probably why this story isn’t all over television right now.
On Sunday night in Cincinnati, an argument between a man and a woman got out of hand, and then the unthinkable happened. 62-year-old Thomas McCary grabbed his gun and began to open fire on the woman and others around her,nearly hitting a 1-year-old baby in the process.
Fortunately, the woman’s brother, Patrick Ewing (not that Patrick Ewing), a concealed carry license holder, was there to defend the group. Ewing returned fire on McCary, and wounded him in one of his legs. McCary then ran home, and grabbed a second gun. Now, armed with two weapons, McCary once again fired at the group.
In an act of bravery, Ewing shot back at McCary in an attempt to distract him, and allowed the bystanders to flee the scene. McCary squeezed out a few more rounds before hiding in his apartment where he was ultimately found, and apprehended by authorities.
McCary was set to appear in court on Monday on four counts of felonious assault.
Imagine how this scenario would have played out if there weren’t law abiding citizens with guns. What would have happened to these people if liberals had their way, and firearms weren’t available for the rest of us?
The thought of the second amendment being taken away is a frightening one, especially when you hear about instances like this. Thank God Mr. Ewing was in the right place at the right time, otherwise this situation could’ve resulted in lives being lost.
