This iPhone Case Contains A Chemical Which Causes 2nd Degree Burns

My sister is very bad with phones. She must have had well over 20. They all get lost, stolen or broken and having watched her previous phone get run over a number of times, she decided to protect her iPhone with the increasingly-popular ‘glitter stars’ case.

However, Molly Brown from Guildford, UK, recently went on Amazon and also purchased one of these phone cases. Etsy, New Look and Accessorize also sell the glitter stars case and even Urban Outfitters and Target sell a version. It’s unclear whether any of these retailers use the same supplier as the Amazon seller Molly bought hers from, but looking at Molly’s story, I’d steer clear of them altogether.

just want to put out a WARNING to anyone that has a sparkly liquid iPhone case! Mine leaked through my back pocket and has left an apparently second degree chemical burn on my bum and part of my legs. It’s really painful and stings a lot so look out for yourselves!
